Just how good are these DVD players I see that are priced at $100.00 CDN.Are they worth it just to have, play movies, or should I hold out and save my money for a quality one?
Follow Ups:
I recently bought a Pioneer DV-563a DVD player ($150.00 at Circuit City) on the recommendation of audiophile friend, I bought it primarily for the SACD/DVD-a capability, but find the video quality
excellent, simple but well thought out remote. I'd avoid any of the
real el cheapo decks.
Heck, I have seen them for even less...Buying one depends on the type of TV you have. If you have a 10 year old TV and only watch the odd movie, then sure buy a $100 Dvd player. If you have a high definition large screen TV and picture quality is important, then get something better.
I have a Panasonic RS-35S which cost $99.00 US. I have found i to be excellent for TV playback, although I can't comment on the sound quality as I only have it hooked up to my TV speakers. The picture quality is quite good, and it rarely has problems reading disks.
