My wife rented Brigadoon last weekend and I noticed it had the problem. I believe The Black Narcissus also did it. There have been others, but those two come to mind. I think they were both Technicolor films, As you suggested, they probably weren't frame by frame restorations. Therein might be the problem.Rod H.

Is the "Black Narcissus" the Criterion DVD version? Because my copy is a stunning renaster.
I could be remembering wrong because it was a rental, but I thought their TBN was a Criterion. I could also be wrong about TBN being one that does this color thing. We don't have cable so it's not unusual for us to rent 15 or 20 DVDs a month. Brigadoon was definitely doing it though. I've seen at least a half dozen that have the problem, but need to start writing down which titles do it I guess!Rod H.
