Video Asylum

I have a progresive scan Panasonic DVD audio/video player which I love for its picture and looks and convenience. One thing I cannot figure out is how to make it hold a picture in the stop mode for more than a short time. Say I'm watching a movie and want to stop it and come back in an hour. With my old Toshiba player I'd just push "Stop" and when I came back in an hour or three hours or the next day as long as the system was on all I'd have to do is push "Play" and it would come right back to where it was in the movie. Not so with the Panasonic. I don't know the actual time but it seems to lose the "holding" ability after about a half hour or so. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance. rico
