Yes you can do it. But always remember to turn the volume down of your ARC pre amp after watching the movies. If you want to listen to the 2 channel only afterward. Otherwise you could damage the Martin Logan if the volume was high enough.I used to have this similar set-up and every now and then I tend forget to turn the pre amp's volume down and trust me it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Thanks for the reply...Went to my favorite SS in MD and found out that I need the DTR 6.4 as it has Pre-Outs for my Stereo mains - that way I can control the volume from the DTR. Just need to save up the $$$ to purchase and I will have my multi-channel ready to go for watching the movies with the family.Later...Dan
