This is the heart of my home theater. Where and how can I be sure my set is totally calibrated and tuned up? Has anyone used any of the DVDs available for this purpose? Are they worth the money? The owner's manual only covers a convergence check. Thanks for any help.

Thanks very much for the link info, but where is the Home Theater Spot/Pioneer you refer to?? Is this on the Asylum site somewhere? Thanks!
You can start out by using a calibration disc like this one. Also go to the Home Theater Spot /Pioneer forum for more tweaks.
The absolutely best way is an in home calibration by a trained ISF technician. They have equipment and access to hidden menus that you cannot duplicate. Plus your set will last MUCH longer and you'll have the best picture it's capable of displaying.
