Space constraints force me to to use smallish "bookself" fronts but I could put anything in the rears. What is the downside of having small fronts and fullsize rears? Would the rear (large) woofers be fully utilized? (There is also a sub)Thanks

Unless all five speakers are "voiced" similarly (ideally they would all be identical) the presentation will suffer in not producing an acoustic "bubble" condusive to the suspension of disbelief. Eben in the most aggressive action soundtracks very little information is contained in the surround channels, these being used for ambience (wind, traffic, crowd noises, etc.). So you's be much better off
IMHO using identacl rears or at least rears from the same company.
In re-reading my message re: "small fronts and fullsize rears" please no jokes about ex-girlfriends!
