I have a couple of questions: I got a DVI cable but my Krell processor has not dvi switching, only component. Should I hook the plasma directly to the sattelite dish with dvi or should I hook it to the processor with component? My DVD player has only component and S-Video. Will there be an improvement with DVI? The plasma will be here in a few days, as well as the HDTV dish so all I am doing is to worry myself to death thinking about it. I was thinking of saving that DVI to hook my powerboork and surf the internet in a 50 inches monitor.Sorry if this discusssion has been exhausted. I did a search with no answers to my questions.

I always hook video components directly to each other and bypass the extra step. That way there is no chance of another stage mooking up the picture.
I also have a Fujitsu 50" plasma hooked up directly to a sat receiver via component and a Bravo D1 dvd using DVI. At some point I will get a DVi switch box and use DVI for sat and dvd. I think DVI has slightly better picture quality than component. You can get a 2 or 4 input DVI switch box and use that for all your dvi source.
