Hi all,Could you please recommend a DVD player in the $500 - $1000 range, a player that would serve primarily to play DVDs. I am mostly interested in the picture and sound quality as they relate to movies. SACD and DVD-Audio aren't really necessary.
So, what's the best player in that price range for DVD only, without the other bells and whistles?

What display will you be using and what is the best connection type available: RF (coax), composite, S-video, VGA, component, RGBHV, DVI or HDMI?
I have had wonderful experience with the Denon dvd-2200. It uses the Silicon pure progressive 504 chip. I also really appreciate the great menus it uses. I find nothing more frustrating then a poor menu system.
