I've heard of other people using one MMG as a center channel with good results. If that small freq. hole bothers you enough you might look into this as an option. It should be easy to find someone to split a pair with you.Richard H
then you'd have to deal with an ambient like image for the center, if you position it horizontally like the arced CC1. That's why I mounted my LR1s that way for my rears.
Placing both MMGs side by side vertically with internal tweeters, will keep the image closer & sharp. In lieu there of one must still position the single MMG vertically. It has to do with the width of a driver. The CC1s arc reduces the acoustic width via dispersion. BTW, both mounting something behind the speaker & positioning it laterally makes the sound duller. Corporately, it could prove disasterous.
Would putting something behind it (attaching something) help with that? Making it more like a monopole?Richard H
