the tosh gets good reviews generally, including quality of build. cinema series always looked best to me. don't know if you've ruled out lcd or dlp rear projection, but i like those, if for no other reason than space. they almost look like plasma, fraction of the cost, and probably better in the long run. the new dlp with the 3rd gen. chip especially. clearly brighter, more contrast than previous generation, which was pretty dang good. cost is more than crt tho. you might also consider hitachi, esp their ultra vision. also high marks for picture quality and reliability.finally, how about BIG? front projector. eg, sanyo Z2 for under $2K. everyone loves theirs.
