repost: I'm happy with my 46 inch Sony CRT RPTV model 510. For $1350, its a steal. They also have a 51 inch version for $1600

Cool! Thanks. Does it have DVI and HDMI? I really want to have an all digital picture? Although HDTV is important, my primary viewing is for progressigve scan DVDs. How is it in SD, progressive or otherwise?
No it doesnt. The similarly priced 47 inch Panasonic 51H84
does,

I have the SONY 51" version. It is very user friendly and can be connected to up to seven video devices. It has "Cinemotion" 2/3 pulldown for video movies. I had mine calibrated by a skilled ISF technician and he gave me a 6500K setting for color and a 5400 setting for my many black and white films. The picture, particularly in high definition, is stunning. This set got a rave review a few issues back in The Perfect Vision.
