You need to answer these questions:
How often do you watch movies? How important is the sound quality of a movie? How important is your 2 channel system.

I have the same processor & its main claim to fame is how "good" it sounds for so little money. I bought mine used for $200 Cdn. Don't regret it & it allowed me to learn how to setup ht. I bought a RS sound meter (on sale) & keep at it until it sounds right.

BUT do more expensive pre-processors sound better. Short answer YES. But there are lots of used processors that come on the market (ie, Marantz, Rotel, Adcom) that are only 5.1 processing with limited video switching. A bargain for sure.
