I have an Onkyo Integra DTR-6 Receiver, a Sony 36" Wega and a Sony DVD player, a DSS and Jamo Apollo surround speakers w/subwoofer. What is the best method of hookup for these devices. I currently have component video from the DVD to the TV and an optical hookup from the DVD to the Receiver. I also have 5.1 hookups going from the DVD to the Receiver (is this necessary?). Is it better to use composite or s video from the satellite receiver to the TV? I have heard that the comb filter in the WEGA makes it better to use the composite v. s video.
Also when listening to regular TV (through satellite) and music is it generally better to listen through 5 channel mode or pro logic. Pro logic seems to have too much focus on the center channel.Your thoughts are appreciated.

I tend to prefer music in 2 channels mode, regualar TV is usually pro-logic, but can sound better in stereo (for mono movies) or various matrix or hall modes, trust your ears and do what you like.
