I have demonstrated matrix 6.1 versus discreet 5.1 on 5.1 material to many guests, audiophiles and non-audiophiles. All could clearly hear the difference and all preferred the 6.1 with the phantom rear canter channel.

BTW, agree on "Cast Away". It has a great DTS mix. Also, try "Master and Comander" in DTS, possibly the best DVD sound yet!
