On a HDTV broadcast on a plasma was the digital artifacting on some shots. I noticed this particularly when the camera was following an athlete against a moving background. The edges of the individual on the screen was often obscured by rapidly shifting blocking artifacts. Really weird effect resulting from too much compression.

I didn't see any artifacting at all... how are you getting the content? On the contrary, I was blown away by the picture quality.
