I'm setting up a home theater. I have a pair of L112's in perfect shape (bought new eons ago and reconed once, not really played since). I thought it would be nice to use these pricey puppies to save some $$ on getting new ones, but didn't know if they'd work or not. Everything points to the center channel needing to match the L/R's. They wouldn't be practical to use as rears (prefer smaller satellite speakers there).Any input or advice appreciated.
Follow Ups:
Ideally all five (or seven) speakers ahould be identical or at least "voicd" similarly from the same manufacturer. So if you can find JBLs for center and rears that timbrely match your present left and right that is the way to go. Make sure thay are all the same distance from the sweet spot and that they are calibrated to equal levels, preferrably by the use of a meter.
