Hi, It could be the result of industry non-standard labeling, are the RCA connectors colored Red, Green and Blue?
If so, it should work.

No. The RCA connectors are not Red, Green and Blue. They are Red, Yellow and White. After connecting the cables, I am able to watch movies. So, it is working.
Actually, the DVD player component output has Y, Cb, Cr output, not Y, Pb, Pr as I have mentioned in the post.
