Look a few posts down about the Pioneer model. With mine there is no hard drive but the discs can be rewrote about 1000 times before failing! (Yes, 1000). I love mine for what it does including chase play. Get home 15 minutes, 1/2 hour, an hour late, whatever.... start watching the show from the start while it still records. Very cool. You can even fast forward while you're watching.
