The hum just appeared and over a few days got to a bothersome level. I did not clean any coonections but did swap out the pre to power amp cable to make sure that it wasn't the culprit.
Follow Ups:
I know that it can be a pain, but I would suggest taking EVERYTHING apart & cleaning all the cables and connectors. CAIG makes some good cleaners that are effective. My experience is that over time connections get dirty and/or loose. Cleaning and carefully rearranging all the wires often solves this type of problem.
