I purchased a Denon dvd-3910 dvd player and a Sony KE-32TS2 plasma tv.
The Denon has both DVI and component video outputs and the Sony has both DVI and component video inputs. Is one hook-up always better to go with than the other? Thanks

DVI *should* be better but also note that your Denon 3910 will upscale standard 480p video to 720p or 1080i over DVI - and maybe not over the component vidoe interconnects. This is the case with my Denon 5900 and I prefer 720p going to my Sony CRT set.

DVI is digital to digital, whereas with component there is conversion from digital to analog, then from analog back to digital on your monitor. *Logic* would dictate the straight digital pass-through of signal would be better, but let your eyes be the judge (and buy cables from a place that will allow you to return them).
