I have an all Magnepan and all channels are driven by one multi-channel amplifier. After living a year with the Maggie CC-3 center
I too experimented and now have no center. Even though the sytem is all from one manufactuer I believe that there is a slight (slight)
discontinuity between the center and the left and right fronts. Now that the center is gone the front sounds are better centered on the screen and dialogue intelligibility is improved. These improvements are slight but definitely there.
