Howdy,I have a need (all right, a want) for some way to link the players in my house to TVs 75' to 100' (cable length) away. Why? Long story made short: Laserdisc player and one TV in bedroom, DVD player and other, larger TV in living room.
S-video is a possibility, but not necessary; I'm happy to use composite for this, which means three shielded cables, right? Do I need something heroicly expensive to accomodate this long run?
I've read that S-video beyond 20' or 50' (depending on whom you believe) is a problem and requires an amplifier/repeater of sorts, but what do I know?
Any hints for me will be greatly appreciated.
Maurice
Do you need stereo in the bedroom? If not, I'd be inclined to put the laserdisc player in the l.r. and connect a 900Mhz wireless unit to the a/v output. Pick this up in the bedroom and feed it through channel 3 to the TV set.
