  I have a Pioneer DV-AX10 that I can't image anything better out there however I would like to compare the performace to the DV59AVi with the HDMI output as my Pioneer Pro530HDi has the same HDMI input.

  The DV-563a will do if you really want a Pioneer and one that's inexpensive ($129 -$149). By the way, these are pretty much the only Pioneers to consider, as the rest are pretty much crap (re: video).

  Check the Benchmark section of www.hometheaterhifi.com for some video test results on the Pioneers and other players.

    With Pioneer there is no middle ground.

    Over here they excell with a cheepie 676A and the higher priced 969AVI.
