Can't rid myself of a hum coming from my front right channel. Connections are OK and wires don't seem to be crossed or crossing over anywhere. No place for ground from amp, so I'm at a lose.
Please help :-0 it's driving me crazy....
Nak' AV1 amp, M&K speakers all around, Denon DVD
thank you in advance
Follow Ups:
I had quite a hum from my sub, especially when turned up a bit for TV/HT watching. Took me 2 seconds to fix. Pulled the sub plug out of the wall, flipped it (it's non-polar) and slipped it back in. No more hum. Ahhh.
1. It's not the speaker as speakers cannot make sound on their own.
2. Have you tried disconnecting all inputs to the amp in order to determine that the amp is the problem?
3. There is always a place to ground the amp by connecting the ground wire to the chassis at any screw that attaches to the chassis.
Using cheater plugs try reversing the electrical connections to the wall and/or surge protector.
