1. It's not the speaker as speakers cannot make sound on their own.
2. Have you tried disconnecting all inputs to the amp in order to determine that the amp is the problem?
3. There is always a place to ground the amp by connecting the ground wire to the chassis at any screw that attaches to the chassis.
Follow Ups:
Using cheater plugs try reversing the electrical connections to the wall and/or surge protector.
