Grant, thanks very much for taking the time to respond. The AVS forum idea was great, I have registered there and am continuing my "education".

P.S. my wife & kids are holding their collective breaths, hoping (I'm sure) Dad doesn't get into the HT upgrade like he did/does with his audio!
Follow Ups:
HT is very much fun. My room is essentially set up for music, but movies bring people in and is great entertainment. The big screen doesn't interupt the music when it's rolled up so is much better than a TV. As for upgradeitis, I do have a bit of a bug, but it still doesn't anywhere near touch the audio bug for me. My X1 is happy hanging from the ceiling with no mods. I am however eventually going to build a hush box. And, well maybe upgrade to a 96" screen instead of the 84". :)
