I am wondering if anyone in Canada is experiencing difficulties getting their lip-sync problems fixed on their Sony DVD's. I took mine in to the authorized dealer on January 14th. Sony apparently sent the wrong part and now I am told that the right part is backordered to February 17th. I called Sony's customer department. After leaving a message no one got back to me so I phoned again a week later. I finally got through to someone who said they would contact the authorized dealer but a week later nothing has happened. If the part comes and it is the right part and the shope fixes the machine it will have taken five weeks. Is anyone else receiving this level of service from Sony?
Yes, Sony Service is an absolute disgrace I purchased the Sony STR-DE935 dd and dts reciever they said 1 week it would be in .... it took OVER A MONTH TO GET I WAS PISSED RIGHT OFF.
Sounds just like the Service I received last August for a sony ES receiver. After 5 trips to the store and 3 returns to the Service Center in St-Laurent QC in 6 weeks, I Blew up. Then they contacted Sony, Three days later I had a new STRDA30ES Receiver. What a pain to install, I added banana plugs just in case I have to return it again.
