Im getting board with these cables, like the monster audio cables Ive used the CV's are a bit to warm and fuzzy, I want something brighter and crisper. Ive heard that silver cables may be better.
The audio in my system is cabled with Transparent Ultras IC's and Speaker Cables, Power is all PSA UO's and PC's, are these companies known for good CV cables? I am willing to spend up to $450 total, for a 1m and a 3m run, I would prefer to buy used, so any offers to sell would be considered.
Follow Ups:
"the CV's are a bit to warm and fuzzy"Component video is "warm and fuzzy." If you want crisp, try a digital connection instead of analog.
I'm not a big fan of Monster Cable stuff, but the M1000cv cables are about as good as it gets. Component video cables aren't quite the same as audio cables as far as upgrades. You can pay a LOT more money (for Transparent, or AQ, or the like) for component video cables and not gain much at all in performance. The only situation I can see where the ultra-expensive cables MIGHT make a difference is if you needed a very, very long run.

For crisper images, I'd buy a PSaudio 300 powerplant to run my projector. I found that it made a much larger difference than cable swapping for the picture quality and it is definitely in your price range. Images were sharper and steadier (Sharp z10000 dlp projector) and the colors were more vivid with the powerplant. Depending upon your projector/display you may wish to add some dedicated scaler but this will cost a bit more -- again, I ended up getting the runco made specifically for dlp's and this with the powerplant has my video system fully tweaked.
Any cable put between components has a detrimental effect (eg; it decreases the performance of the connected components). What you should look for in a cable is the one that causes the least damage and preserves as much of the original signal as possible.WidescreenReview did a "scientific" shootout several years ago comparing video cables using test signals and an O-scope. MonsterCable M1000v (composite cable) was at the top of the list, next to Belden cable with Canare connectors (the best combination for a video cable).
Why would you want to (possibly) spend more money on a down-grade?
I have many years of audio cable experience, I obviously know what cables can do. I've had the 1000cv's for 2 years and now Im bored of them. More expensive is not relevant, cheaper is fine. Any suggestions?
If you don't care about accuracy, your next cables should come from the electronics section at Wal-Mart.Or, you can call Markertek and have them do custom cables for you. Use Belden 1694A or 1695A cable with Canare 75 Ohm connectors (RCA or BNC, whichever you need).
I doubt you can buy a more accurate cable/connector combination.
