I paid a little extra to get the 3803 because I wanted to be able to use component cables to feed a signal into my X1. NO CAN DO. If I use the VESA adapter I get nothing but if I use the component to Svideo adapter I get a signal. Anyone who can solve this puzzle for me would be greatly appreciated. And yes, when I use the component to VESA adapter I do have the signal source as 'computer'. You can tell I've had a few conversations with Infocus tech support. Thanks again for any help.

You have to go into the setup menu on the 3803 and assign the input sererately.
I think you should be able to change this with the remote somehow. You would (I think) be bypassing the internal doubler which is possibly better than whatever DVD player you are using.
