#1 If you could get a 50" plasma for >$3k, would you mind a refurbished display?#2 When you said "LCD", did you mean flat panel LCD (thin like a plasma) or rear projection LCD?

#2 - We prefer a flat planel hang on the wall like our plasma upstairs.

This company makes a 30" flat-panel LCD (1280x768) which can be found for <$1800 (that was over 6 months ago). Very shortly they will have a 37" flat-panel LCD (1920x1080) for $2500 retail.Plasmas in the 42" range can be found for <$2k, but they are ED models. Check out 1800plasmas.com for price comparisons.
