Hi, there.Arcam Alpha AV 50 amp, only connected the power cord with source input.
Then, connect speakers, a low volume noise from the tweeter.Use an oscilloscope and measure a 100 MHz signal at the speaker outlet
behind the amp.Disconnect the speaker wire, same 100 MHz signal. Disconnect the
power cord to the amp, same 100 MHz signal.Question: Could this 100 MHz signal causes the speakers to put out
some subharmonic audible noise? What else could be wrong? Where
should I look for the problems?
It looks like your scope has a problem or it is picking it up in the air(FM). Most Audio equipment do not respond much higher than 100khz to 200khz.
