I think it is an overkill to use 6.1 or 7.1 particullarly on a tight budget...

Also, any benefits, will depend on the room and setup, if you can setup ideally, 5 speakers at the same distance, like Dolby recomends, I see no advantage on more channels...

I have a good system and use only 5.1
