are you sure you have the input setup as Component and *NOT* RGB. on my panny this is selectable in the setup menus.... this sort of thing can happen if your TV thinks it's RGB and not Component....

I think so... I don't remember seeing an RBG option in the Philips menus, but I'll be sure to check.Any idea why I'm getting different behavior for different movies?

Could be, but I still don't understand how a bad component output could give correct color for one movie and bad color for another.I am quick to admit that I don't know a whole lot about video, but this seems very strange.
Last night I removed the HT processor from the video chain, so I now have:
Philips 963SA(component out)--> Philips HDTV (component in) and still have blue faces on Dial M for Murder, but good color with newer movies.
