I would suggest you do some reading...just to be more knowledgable.I would suggest either a used 5.1 receiver or processor. Avoid 6 or 7.1, in a small room, you don't need it in my view. Get yourself a sound pressure meter...it will help in setup. You can also pick up lots of used speakers on ebay or at your local stereo store. Make sure that they are similar (rears don't have to be the same, just similar).
You could probably set the whole thing up for around $500 or so.
