We just bought a 60" Sony Grand Wega. I have it plugged into a powervar line conditioner. We used AmEx CC to buy all 3 HDTV sets. By using Amex you double the standard 1 year factory warranty. A good thing. I also suggest searching for a good price for a RepairTech 5 year warranty on your next set. A 5 year RepairTech warranty with free replacement if it dies for good cost me only $349. The good thing about a repairtech warranty is it does not start until the facory warranty period is over. So we are covered out for the next six or seven years. I would NEVER buy a warranty from CC or BB. Their warranty for 2 years runs at the same time as the factory one on our two new small 30" HDTV's we got for our bedrooms. When I told the manager that Amex doubles my warranty and buying your warranty would not give me any longer protections than the factory warranty. His reply was "Well, we will give you in-house warranty repair." So does repairtech. You gotta pretect your TV's like you do your stereo from voltage spikes. Also consider using Amex to double the standard 1 year warranty at the least on your next set. Best bet is 5 year repairtech warranty.. Good luck! John
