Hi, I've a Hitachi 53UWX10B RP HDTV, where the RGB colors have offset from each other. The blue being the worst, as 1/2 way up the screen it jogs over approx. 2". I've performed the Magic Focus fuction numorous times, and although I can't recall in previous activations, the numeral "4" appears at the end of the sequence. It spends more time on the blue calibration than it used to.
Looking to be informed before I call a service tech.
I miss seeing "Linda from the Bronx" in all her eye candy glory.
Follow Ups:
I've got a 53" Hitatchi. I can't really help you technically, but I can say that I don't see a number "4" when I use the Magic focus.
Better call a technician. Have you contacted Hitatchi?
Sorry.

Hey, thanks for your reply. The 4 must be an error code. It's only been a couple days, and I'd really like to get an idea of what's gone wrong. I suppose Hitachi will be my next move. Unfortunately I'm not one for extended warrantees.
You may not need an extended warranty per se, but give Hitatchi's tech support an e-mail and see what they say. If it is an error code, and it sounds like one, then perhaps they can at least tell you what the problem is. It couldn't hurt.
