HiI have a 200 watt stereo amp(Front left and right) and need to power the center and rear speakers. How many watts do I need to power the center and rear speakers?
Thank you
THE CENTER CHANNEL SHOULD BE AT THE SAME WATTAGE AS YOUR NORMAL LEFT AND RIGHT SPEAKERS. AS FOR THE REARS THEY CAN BE THE SAME OR MOST OF THE TIME WITH PRO-LOGIC RECIEVERS THE REAR CHANNELS ARE A LITTLE LESS THAN THE RESTMY DD RECIVER ARE ALL THE SAME 110 WATTS PER CHANNEL DON'T FORGET IF YOUR FRONTS ARE GETTING 100 WATTS AND YOUR REARS ARE SET TO THE SAME WATTAGE THEY WILL NOT BE PUTTING OUT EQUAL SOUND TO THE FRONT. REARS ARE FOR SURROUND EFFECTS NOT NORMAL LEFT AND RIGHT SOUND. DD APPLICATIONS ARE STEREO SURROUND WHEREAS PRO-LOGIC IS MONO
I HAVE SMALLER SPEAKER MOUNTED ON THE WALL FOR MY SURROUND SOUND THEY ARE ONLY 75 WATTS. THEY ARE PERFECT, BUT THAT IS MY PREFERENCE.
