I've found a Kenwood VR-309 HT receiver that seems to have everything I want except main L-R channel preamp outs. I need the front outs so I can integrate my stereo and HT systems. I want to run the front channels into my stereo preamp and power amp, and connect my turntable and CD player to the stereo preamp. Is there a way to access the front channel outputs or any connection that will give me a similar result?
DanIf you can use a soldering iron then it is possible to construct a dual usage audiophile stereo system and HT system even using DD - switched out for stereo listening. Email me if you want more info.

I've thought of a possible solution. I could hook up my stereo preamp to the receiver pre-outs. I could then set the movie volume I want in the main channels, and remotely adjust the surround/centre channels on the receiver to match? I don't have any experience with DD and DTS movie sound. Will this be workable?
