There are curtains to the daylight windows on the south wall. That can darken it if needed.

.. even my "cheap" X1 looks pretty fantastic. The total cost to me including cable, drop down Da-Lite screen and PJ was about $1900CDN. The picture on cable is a bit fuzzy (as would be expected on a cheaper 84" screen), but nothing to complain about. On a digitally fed picture it's quite amazing to be honest. We bought it on the advice of the good folks over at avsforum site unseen and were expecting a pretty good picture. We have more than a pretty good picture! Head to avsforum for a peek.
