Hi Kal,Any input can be passed to the digital output . Analog can be converted to 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz at 16 or 24bit output. I believe that digital input can be passed "unscathed" up to 96/24.
To be honest, I haven't used the digital out feature yet. Waiting for my Koetsu to be retipped...

Boy, you're tough to please. Must come with the territory...All analog and digital input routed through the digital out pathway are converted to 2-channel. Output options are limited to sampling frequency and bit depth.
Do you know of a consumer product that accomplishes the tasks in your query?
By the way, since I last communicated with you, my system has evolved quite a bit. Check out my posted system. I've got to tell you, Revel all around (7.1) is awesome, particularly with the Ultima Sub30.
