isn't going to sweat the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD issue too much. I'm no longer in any near-term position to pay the premium for early adoption of the next latest and greatest video formats. I don't see the movie industry being in any big rush to release gobs of material in 720p, 1080i, or 1080p anytime soon (and perhaps not at all for 5.5" digital media).

OTOH, this could simply be self-rationalization to justify beacoup bucks on non-1080p compatible display system....
