SED will be released in Japan in '06. By March, Toshiba/Canon expects to have a 55" 1920x1080 model in Japan. SED release in the US may happen in '06, but it probably won't be until late '06.

I hope they are successful with SED, but I'm only interested in the picture quality advantages that it may have over plasma. Panasonic will be releasing a 65" 1920x1080 14-bit commercial model capable of accepting a 1080p input via HDMI in Q3/Q4 '06 (maybe sooner). Toshiba/Canon might as well target the top.
