When CONFIGURED FOR MAXIMIUM IMAGE QUALITY the $200 OPPO out scores EVERY OTHER tested DVD player. When NOT so configured the $3500 Denon edges out the OPPO.

Of course, the actual picture you get is also dependent on your system, i.e., display/TV quality.
Empirically, on my highly rated Panasonic Plasma, the OPPO is clearly superior to any of my 5 others DVD players.
