The question contains the answer but not so fast. I have a larger (JBL) center speaker and a conventional (old CRT) TV.
It presently sits on top of of the TV. When it comes time to buy a flat panel display, I'm wondering what to do with the center speaker. I can't wall mount the display or the speaker and I don't think it would be good to set the display directly on top of the speaker. I haven't seen any audio furniture that a accommodates a center speaker. Any Suggestions?
Follow Ups:
The Salamander Synergy line includes provisions for plasma mounting as well as enough adjustability for accomodate a center-channel speaker.
Have you considered a "phantom" center? After livung with a center channel (2 different models over time) in my all magnepan system I started experimenting with a phantom center and now use it all the time. I find that frontal pans are smoother and the entire system sounds less "mechanical".
There are many speaker stands available which are made specifically for center channel speakers, such as is provided in the link below.
FYI, I do not necessarily promote buying this specific stand, as I have never seen/heard it being used... I just searched on google and found whatever popped up!
Cheers,
Chris
