Note what is on the horizon--this year will mark the first 1920 X 1080 plasmas. I think this will establish a new standard, even with the uncertainty generated by the blu-ray versus HD-DVD battle.

To be sure, these will be "first generation" plasmas, so price will take several years to drop to more "manageable" levels. And at this point, I think a 60" and a 50" inch have been announced, but in the future, I imagine a 42" will also be added to the product line.
