Dear Sirs,
please excuse my maybe silly question.
For practical reasons I have to stick with just the two stereo L&R channels also for watching movies.
Is there a way to make the movie soundtracks more enjoyable with just two (L & R) channels?Thank you very much for any suggestion.
Kind regards,
Follow Ups:
Many DVD's allow you to select what type of audio to use in their main menu. When you put in a DVD, see if there is an "Audio Options" menu item on the DVD's main menu. Often there is an option for "Stereo" or "Dolby Pro-Logic" which is the 5-channel dolby digital soundtrack mixed down to stereo.

Dear Sir,thank you very much indeed for your extremely kind and valuable reply.
I will do what you suggest.
Kind regards,
Actually, get the best DVD player you can find, then go into its menu system & select PCM audio, which is the CD standard. Any DVD you play will come out as stereo. The other factor is make sure your speakers are setup properly. Try using the Cardas system. Be willing to move the speakers around, because in my experience the Cardas method is only starting point & works best with American style speakers.
Dear Sir,thank you so much for your extremely kind and valuable reply.
I will do that this evening soon.
To be more precise I am using an old Pioneer DV-717.
I know that it is not the last word in audio quality.
In the future I could add a nice external DAC however.Thank you very much indeed.
Kind regards,
