Norm,A single s video cable contains internally two 75 ohm coax or twisted pair with 4-pin DIN connectors at both ends
I know this. My question is, why didn't they decide to use two RCA connectors for S-Video instead of a special DIN connector--like they did for component video?
Oh..I see. I don't know, good question.. DIY s-video cable would have been possible, maybe that's why. Prevents people from making their own using two runs of home depot or RS RG-6, so they can gouge...I mean charge consumers more for something that they can't easily make themselves. Or am I too cynical?
