if you are referring to Panasonic PT- AE900 for $1029 that could be a good deal, as the street price on that projector is around $1700.
Native 16:9, 1280 x 720 resolution. The only catch is that the vendor is something of an unknown..not one I've run into before. Could be fine but that is the question mark.
check projectorcentral.com and see if you can find a projector review and test.

THat vendor is located in Greece. I think I would steer clear of non-US vendors
A 14 ft throw distance might get you approximately a 5 ft high x 9 ft wide screen, maybe up to 120 inches diagonal more or less if you are lucky. My Web page has lots of info on building a screen and setup. One problem is that the throw distance on these units is nearly fixed for a specific screen size, and that determines the screen size you can fill. This particular machine appears to be a bit more flexible in that regard than many, but to get much bigger screen you will need more than 14 ft.
At the $1500 or slightly less price point I like the new Mitsubishi HD1000U with WXGA 16:9 native resolution (1280 x 720, higher rez than the 480p units like Infocus Screenplay 4805 that run about $1000) THis looks to be a very high, contrast, high brightness unit as well.
AA is great for audio. AVS Forum is a better site for video IMO.
