A note for those who sent payments to this fraudulent entity - Western Union and e-gold are both aware of their existence and have placed a hold on all transfers to this account. If you have made a payment and thought you were screwed, you can get a refund of your money by contacting the agent via which you made the transfer.

I also got done for 1,100 dollars by these people. However, i contacted western union to see if i could get my money back. They said all i could so was file a complaint, but couldnt get my money back be cause who ever was doing the scam already picked up the payment. Has anyone got there money back after payment has already cleared with elmpiont?
Add me to the list of losers and elm point. has anyone had any luck in getting their money back?
Yes - I did. If you made a purchase after Western Union caught on to them (Sep 1st onward?) and it was not picked up you can get it back. If there are enough people who got scammed there should be some way to get reimbursed. Make use of the address info - there is also a phone number in the domain whois info, along with the likely end recipient of your funds.
No luck with the money. That is long gone as are the people responsible. No valid information regarding the owner of the site, which is down. I wonder how much money they made in the two weeks they were up? I lost 1122.00
Glacy, I suspect we will never see that money again. When did you send payment. I saw on another site that Western Union was notified and were aware of the scam. My payment went out on 8/28/06 and was picked up the same day. When I called on 9/2/06, they still didn't know anything about this. I filed a report with IC3. A police report needs to be filled out with your local police before anything can be done. I called the police in Little neck , New York. The registered owner of the elmpoint WEB site is listed there, but that is probably a scam address. I doubt anyone will even look for these lowlifes. Let me know when you placed your order and paid for it. Maybe Western Union did know before.
I was wondering if anyone else has heard anything in regards to elmpoint.com.. I fell for their professional web site, and their listing on Bizrate comparison shopping for plasma tvs. I am out $1122.00 All their sites are down and I'm sure all involved are no where to be found. How can a non-legitimate site be listed on shopzilla and bizrate. Don't they check the authenticity of new vendors before listing them?
