  In your reply you stated "The TV then upscales or deinterlaces to 1080p, its native resolution" I understand that. But why does the TV show it being displayed at 1080i, not 1080p?

    What I am reading on the screen is not the resolution I am viewing, but instead it is the resolution that is coming into the television! Correct?
